The Compositor as Artist, Craftsman, and Tradesman by Alexander Lawson has been printed and published by Dwight Agner at The Press of the Nightowl in Athens, Georgia. The text was set in Bulmer, which is based on a typeface cut by William Martin two hundred years ago, in 1790. That type was first used by William Bulmer to print the Boydell edition of Shakespeare’s works. The wood engravings were cut by joseph Sanders, and have been printed from the blocks. Three hundred thirty-three copies have been printed on a Vandercook 4 press. Three hundred copies, numbered 1 to 300, are on Rives Paper. Thirty-three copies, numbered I to XXXIII and signed by the author and the printer, were printed on damped Canterbury handmade paper. This is copy number [ ] of the Rives edition, case bound by Delmar Printing and Publishing. The Canterbury edition is bound in quarter leather.
